On June 5, Joe’s Pub will celebrate Judy Garland’s 100th birthday with the 10th annual “Night of a Thousand Judys.” There are many other Pride events throughout the city this month:īetween June 2 and 6, NewFest Pride will kick off the month with brand new feature films and television series, filmmaker Q&As, and social events. Other events include PrideFest, a street fair in Greenwich Village, and Pride Island, a two-day music festival on Governors Island, headlined by the rapper Lil’ Kim and the pop star Kim Petras. This year’s grand marshals include the social media star TS Madison and Chase Strangio, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union. ABC 7 will broadcast from the march route with live interviews and performances. In 2022, NYC’s Pride March will return to a fully in-person lineup for the first time since the pandemic started.
